There are four types of membership in the RRA: Full, Family, Student and Associate. Full, Family and Student members have access to the autopatch and other repeater functions on all of our repeaters. Associate members do not have access to the autopatch or control functions. Family memberships are for those individuals who have more than one licensed amateur radio operator in their immediate family living at one address. Student membership is available to full time students under the age of 23. Family memberships will be reduced by $10.00 per year when there is one or more qualifying students in the family.
PLEASE NOTE - Autopatch is restricted (except in emergencies) to area code 845/914/201 local calls. Also, the Federal Communications Commission prohibits any use of the autopatch for business or pecuniary interest.
The RRA membership year runs from May 1st to April 30th and is divided into four quarters for the benefit of those who join mid-year. Please only enclose payment through April 30. New Full, Family or Student members only are required to pay the one-time initiation fee. A three-month grace period is provided for membership renewal, after which the initiation fee must be paid to regain membership in the RRA.
